The Foundation means a lot to me. It is going to help me to use the computer and develop my skills. The Foundation is helping me to learn more about helping others – each one teach one. My attitude and behavior will change, and I will become a better person. I love this Foundation because it is helping my school to be the best school in the country.
Kellanie Kelly, Student, Mount Waddy Primary School, Friendship, JamaicaMIC has made many changes in my life since it was launched on April 14, 2014. It gives me the courage and the ability to do much better than I usually did before. It has made me a better girl, and I have learned to do many more possible things.
Initiatives
The Melbourne and Michael Folkes Foundation has four main initiatives in progress at this stage. Sustenance Farming to provide employment, and return profit to the Foundations other initiatives; Auditorium to provide a community-wide venue for health and cultural activities; Educational Assistance Program to remove financial barriers to achievement; Medical Care to provide health awareness and provision.
